Hi everyone - welcome to our live coverage of Apple's 2014 WWDC.
Just getting things warmed up - the keynote is expected to begin at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. local
Lots of speculation about what Apple will show here. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see?
Spotlight - touted as a great tool to 'search for people'
The search tool (spotlight) looks to be really ramped up. From social to email to files an apps
All files on the drive are accessibly from the Finder.
That includes iOS, Windows files too
Mail - improvements to synching, files and attachments

Markup lets you doodle on images in email
Smart Search field shows you all your favourites, so you don't need to have a search bar taking up space
Built-in sharing now in Safari for easy sharing
New birds-eye tab view for people who have lots of tabs open at the same time (guilty as charged)
Improved 2 hours longer battery life for Macs thanks to improvements to the video plugin
There's the new tabs view

Finally - now AirDrop will work between iOS and Mac devices. Long overdue
New feature - Handoff. Your Apple devices will let you pick up where you left off. Just swipe up to continue work from your desktop on your tablet.
And now - SMS. 'Green bubble friends'
You know, those people who don't have Apple devices. Well, your phone will now relay those text messages to your other Apple devices.
Phone calls you receive on your phone will show up on your Mac, let you use it as a speakerphone #WWDC
